How Global Spanish Language School (GSLS) Helped a Priest that Needed to Give Masses in Spanish.

THE CHALLENGE

P. is a priest. He was moved to a new parish with a big Hispanic population. There is a mass in Spanish on Sundays for Hispanics that he needs to say. The hardest part for this duty? the homily, since it has to be different every weekend. And, of course, he also wants to get know people in the community.

OUTCOME

We focused on teaching him how to read and pronunciation skills in Spanish. During some weeks, he honed his reading skills in Spanish to be able to say a different homily every weekend. We practiced the pronunciation of some words that he needed to say during mass. Finally, he learned some basic Spanish to have basic conversations with the parishioners.

HOW GLOBAL SPANISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL (GSLS) HELPED A STUDENT TO KEEP HIS GPA TO ENTER TO COLLEGE.

THE CHALLENGE

J. is a junior high school student. He is taking Spanish II and for some reason he is struggling with some concepts. His goal is to go to a four-year college and he will apply for scholarships. This is the main reason that he does not want to lower his GPA. His parents know that in the long run, having two years of Spanish in high school will save them money, since J. does not have to take Spanish in college. Two years of a foreign language is a requirement for a four-year college J. would like to apply. J. and his parents want to figure out what is the reason of his struggle.

OUTCOME

J. took an assessment. The assessment revealed where J. was struggling the most. We re-teach the concepts he was struggling with and give him plenty of practice and exercises. J. was able to keep his grades and continue with his Spanish class without struggling.
